My Artistic Journey

Like so many Artist, I have always been drawn to the arts but in my case, life...a great and blessed one I might add, took me in different directions. After dabbling in painting here and there, I finally reached a point where there is neither time, nor excuses to wait any longer to get serious about my passion!

I am thankful and honored to have the opportunity to participate in James Richards' Mentoring Program. There is something to be said for setting the bar high! Learning from one of the top American Impressionist artist and teachers has its imprint on my work.

I'm intrigued by the emotion a painting evokes...how it speaks to the viewer. Those things that express emotion through energy and movement can sometimes be unclear but, if they are there, the painting will have life. My goal is to accomplish this but to leave enough to the imagination of the viewer to weave their own story into the painting and draw an emotional tie.

The artist's journey is not only about painting. It's a way of living and seeing the world. I feel blessed to be on that path!
